Piston Compression

While reading thru my (newly aquired) copys of Up-Fixin der Porsche I have run across a number of interesting articles about various techniques to increase horsepower on the various 911 motors. So I have a couple of questions to see if anyone has done any of the following and what results they had.

I'm looking at this for a 2.2 for an R project I am building.

1. Twin Plug. Doesn't increase horsepower itself, but according to what I have read the better flame propagation makes it much easier to run higher compression without detonation occurring. Where did you get it done, get the distributor etc., Did it make a noticable difference

2. After market knock sensors. There was one article that mentioned an after market knock sensor that could be added to your ignition system. It basically would allow you to set your timing to normal spec's and then would retard it automatically if any knock was sensed. Anyone know of a company(s) making something like this.

I'm looking for around 200hp from a 2.2 and I want it to be usable. I am wondering how high compresion I could go if I do the above mod's (assuming I can find the knock sensor) 9.8 (S specs) seems as high as is recommended with current gasoline but I know Porsche is running 10+ with their modern cars. Although that may not be possible without the sophisticated electronics and fuel injection I am wondering how far this can be pushed.
