Cabriolet

OK does any know how the Cabriolet GURU around here is or if there is a good book on sealing them up. As with a lot of these I have a leak around the front edge at the door frame. I've run out of good ideas.

Thanks
Steve

Someone told me that he just added some 1/4" foam insulation behind the body seal at the top. Only a couple of inches. I didn't try it, though.

By the word leak do you mean water accumulating on the floorboards, or the drip that falls on your sleeve durring a heavy rain while driving. I have an '83 cab, never had a water leak issue, it is actually quite sealed compared to the british cars I've owned, I had a '90 corvette I would equate it to, both being convertibles, no water pooling inside of car, but if driven durring a heavy rain the occasional drip on the sleeve is expected. The "waterproof" cloth tops do absorb alot of water, I think if I was to do it over again I would opt for the less expensive "godforbid" brand.

I have a leak at the right front. the top seals up well, but you most likely need to change the rubber seal at the leading edge of the top. Mine has a cut in the rubber that causes the leak.

Cabriolet sealing

What I have is an 80' Cab conversion this was done in Europe before coming over. There is more than a drip but it's not poring in. I bought new side seals but they don't fit well and don't look the same as the one's on the car now. So any advise is helpful.

The triangular window is adjustable (angle), and when done properly can reduce wind noise and water penetration. If you find a good old Porsche mechanic, they have experience adjusting this..

The alignment of the window and wing glass seem to be correct. The issue looks like the seal it self so I replaced them and they don't seem to fit right. I was hoping to get some guidance as to how it fits because when installed I can't close the top?
