Stater reconnection help

This is my last shot before I attempt it myself without guidance. The motor is back in, and I need to hook up the starter. I failed to snap a pic when I took the connections off. On the starter (this is a 911SC, 3.0) there is a long post, a short post and 2 spades. Spades where easy enough to connect. On the short post there is a very short wire already connected from the starter (selonoid maybe) itself.

There is a red wire comming from the starter, and there is a blank wire from the chasis (battery). Does the red wire from the starter and the black wire from the battery go to the longer post (looking at the back of the starter, it's on the left)??

I've looked at photo's, but haven't found one exactly like mine.

Todd

Yeah, I think that will work!!! Seems to maybe be an additional wire I don't have, but it's hard to tell if both of those yellow wires are going to the spades.

But, it does show the red and the black wire to the same post.

And I did see that article before, but from the pic it's hard to tell if there is a single wire going to the longer post, or if there is another wire sort of running behind.

Thanks!!! I feel better about hooking it up they way I thought now.
