tack guage stopped working

my tack guage mysteriously stopped working in my 1969 911 T. can someone tell me where to look for bad wires, connections or other obvious problems?

The lead/wire/connection to my oil tank sender came off once. It was a pain to reconnect, but once done has not failed again.
