Has anyone tried this touch up paint?

Seems like a great idea, fool proof and easy to use.

Thumbs up

I have and it worked great. I have Cassis Red Metallic (L80D) paint--not common--and I was concerned they wouldn't be able to match. I got the medium sized kit because it was clear the PO hadn't really done much to keep the paint together.

The smaller, isolated chips cleared up nicely but I had to do multiple applications to get them completely filled in. I had road rash on my front valence--those I colored in, but didn't go to the same lengths I did to fill chips on the hood. You have to look closely to see the marks on the valence, but I may go back and do them again. It took me about 2 hours to do the entire car.

I had a large chip that filled, but I wasn't able to make the paint blend well. I'm sure that's because my paint is metallic rather than a problem with the product.

I recommend the kit.

David

I met a guy at a car show that swears by it.

I have heard several positive comments, but... I have not used their product myself, yet. Tony.

I've used it - works pretty good, depending on the chips. It is best for "road rash" type damage, where there are dozens of tiny chips. Does a nice "5 footer" coverup on those. For bigger chips, I've had better luck with a tiny brush, thinned out touch up paint and some clearcoat.

Seems pretty good. I have a couple little nicks that need attention. Looks like I'll get this kit.
