I've got one. (I actually have a bunch more, but they're at work ) Oh, and it's not a 911. I know they were designed to be all weather drivers, but old 911s in the snow this day and age is crazy. Not when it's so easy to pick up a cheap Subie or something that is so much safer. As noted previously, it's not just about going, but handling and stopping as well. Last thing I want on slick roads is a rear-biased pendulum w/o ABS. If that makes me "old", well...at least I made it to "old".

Anywho...here's the winter beater...

I've lived in OR, WA, and WY and often cut xmas trees, but I've never been able to find the ones that are lit up in the forest - much less staying lit when you cut them. MT must really be "the last best place."

What a difference a day makes, Saturday it was beautiful, this morning not so much.

And yes I drove it to work, never got going fast enough to get all the snow off, not even when I was doing 360's. Fairly high stress drive in.

Excuse the poor iphone pic, I just finished doing some parking lot drifting. It's fun to drive a 911 all winter..

Bad cell phone pic. This unseasonal sprinkling (March) was a little hairy with Summer tires - got the ContiWinterContacts on last week...

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who does this!

Not mine....

..although one of the coolest pics I have ever taken of a 911...

The pic is taken in "Sälen" Sweden a couple of years ago, this is as cool as it gets!

I regularly pulled into one of those "you spray it" type car washes and gave the underside a thorough soaking with the soapy spray. Then be sure to give it a good Spring cleaning as soon as it's warm enough!
