easy DIY

humyu6,

Plenty of people will tell you that you can install it with the valence still attached. I found it way too tight and impossible to do correctly.
I took the valence off, not difficult but it took some time. Once I had it off it was pretty straight forward to mark, drill and attach. The dang piece itself w/mounting kit is expensive. Between $350 and $400 all in. Occasionally you'll find one on here. I saw one go in 5 minutes the other day for $200. You have to be fast and lucky. I was.
I'm really happy with the way it turned out and looks. It's a great starter DIY job with lots of satisfaction. I did a search and read my but off......plenty of stuff. Chin spoiler or valence should get you started.

Good luck,

Scott

The link above was very helpful. I put mine on with the valence still in place. No real issues to speak of. You have to be a bit of a finger contortionist, but I didn't find it that difficult.
