Best quality ducktail? I would like to buy a duck for my 89 and paint it to match, who builds the best looking and best quality? I know there are a lot of bad ones out there! |

Gary Stratton (he goes by Sonjay here) makes the best....he makes it like the factory made their's.....he grafts a fiberglass burzel onto a metal factory decklid. He even wants to know whether you are going to use a newer plastic decklid grill in it or the older metal grill.....they attach with different dimensions. I have one of his ducks on my car....there was no question about fitment since it is on a factory decklid. It is a nice piece.... |

does he have a website or contact details?....for his tails :) |

Depends on your goal... for racing and track cars there is no reason to spend the $$s on Gary's great skills as you are more than likely to see rough usage... for fit, finish, and originality there is no substitute for Gary's :) but expect to pay for the best :) Other venders: GT Racing, Better Bodies, MA Shaw, some others... I think MA Shaw has the better rep concerning fit on an all FG parts, but it could be a crap shoot depending on how far into the mold they are on your production run... either way, you will spend some time or $$ on getting the fit right. -Michael |

Mine came from Rennspeed....I had no issues with mine....It all depends on how old the mold is as to the quality of the original part. I will get one from Gary next time though. I just have to save up a lot more cash..... |
