Carbon Fiber Seats

Who knows about these seats?

this pic is one Wayne posted from the LA show. I assume these are the new Porsche sport seats.

Does anyone know how much they weigh?

Or how much they cost?

I want a seat with a back that adjusts and tilts but is still just as light wt. as possible. This looks like the ticket...

The new GT-2 seats...

Sport Bucket Seats
A car that is capable of such extreme lateral loads requires a seat with exceptional support. The standard sport bucket seat has manual fore/aft adjustment plus two additional features rarely encountered on comparable seat designs: a folding backrest and an integral thorax airbag in the side support. The folding function enables easy access to the rear luggage area. The backrest pivots are positioned high in the side bolsters, providing optimum support for the torso, pelvis and legs. This unprecedented design combines the lateral support of a genuine racing seat with the convenience of a folding backrest. The backrest shell has a glass-fiber reinforced plastic core and a carbon-fiber surface with visible weave pattern. This construction provides excellent rigidity while also reducing weight. The seat is compatible with a six-point racing harness.
Don't know if you can get it without the thorax airbag. Also the carbon fiber is just for show - outer layer only.

Look at the Misano seat from Cobra: http://www.cobraseats.com/misanos.htm

Or similar seats from Bride, although some Porsh owners would probably eat their hair before they put anything Japanese in their car

Those are the new GT2 seats, very nice and very expensive. You can get them through Suncoast, see link.

they're 26.6 lbs. - just as heavy as my Recaro SE's

looks2 like the Bride Cuga weighs the same (and it's their lightest recliner)
