I have recently done a trackday, I experienced a little brake fade. I am changing the brake fluid to help remedy this problem.
Should I use synthetic fluid or just upgrade to racing fluid ? I am going on another trackday next week !! Thanks Darren - '82 SC |

Heavy duty Dot 3/4 or racing brake fluids should do the job. Don't go with Silicone fluid as air bubbles don't bleed out easily.
Here's a fluid comparison chart for shopping purposes. http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars/brakefluid.htm Sherwood Lee |

Synthetic and natural brake fluids DO NOT MIX!
You must remove all of the fluid (it blow out all the lines and master cylinder and then clean with brake cleaner) prior to changing to a DOT 5 (synthetic) fluid. There are some synthetic blends that say they are compatible with regular fluid...but I would be skeptical. I run ATE Super Blue and have been happy with its performance. Good Luck.
