Tim at Wheel Works has been good to me the last 20 years, and he knows his way around Fuchs.
Might be more local for you.
He has no web site.

not cheap, upwards of $150/wheel

Gary Stratton in Orlando (Sonjay on Pelican) or True Design Wheels in Colorado. Mirage Racing in San Diego also does em.

Harvey Weidman at Weidman's Wheels.

530-534-7903

He can make 7R and an 8R.

Given the price of 8's it would be cheaper to buy the 8's and sell your 6's.

????

I don't get that thought. If it cost me $150 (based on another poster, could be higher or lower) per wheel to do, that's $300. Selling my 6"s would get me what $400?

You aren't touching a pair of 8"s for less than $1K.

Rember, that is just for the cutting, to reinish will add to the cost maiking it much closer to the cost of real 8s.
