Turn your caps off! I don't think that is a factory option. It looks like it mounted with drywall screws.

Is the writing in German? Does it have a Porsche logo? A 911....number?

It's not a factory option. Cupholders weren't available in a 911 in the 70's (or 80's, etc.) That's a fairly common aftermaket example. They still sell those.
