Gratuitous concours/car show photos

Hi guys,

Well I've been cleaning up my car for the last 3 or 4 weekends for today's annual concours in Perth, Western Australia.

After all that work I was very happy to take out "Best of Show Full Concours". So I thought I would share a few photos after all my work.....(I'll start another thread with photos of the other nice cars as well).

Now it's time to drive it and get it dirty again before next year's concours!

cheers,

Hi Diamond looks nice, how did you go with the undercarraige, did you end up getting rid of the protector shield or did you just detail it also?

Your brake reservoir is on the wrong side!
Beautiful car and way to clean!
Now go dirty that thing up while I am laying mine up for the winter!

Nice job! Beautiful color and car; I'd be afraid to drive it after I spent that much work cleaning. That happened to a friend of mine. He cleaned and cleaned and was to anal to take it out on the streets any longer.

Hi BAD930, I left the protector shield in place to keep it original and detailed it, and cleaned up the whole undercarriage, wheel wells etc.

I will be removing it though now that the show is over.

cheers,

thanks guys. No chance of not driving it that's for sure! I drive it at least 3 times a week and enjoy it the way it should be. I just like thoroughly cleaning it up and giving it a birthday once a year to maintain it's condition.

cheers,

The red oil filter is a geniune Porsche oil filter and is quite expensive.

When I get a bit more time I'll list my process, tips and how long it takes for those who have raised interest above. I will also post photos of the other cars as mentioned once I have blacked out their number plates. Will try and do that tonight.

cheers,

I'm particularly interested in your techniques for getting the engine so clean. Did you remove the engine or detail it in place?

Congrats mate - a Full Concours is tough to win!
Attached is a pic of a beeyooteeful very low mileage Diamond Blue Metallic 911CS; I can't convince the owner to enter it in a local concours - it would be a real crowd pleaser for sure!
Later,
