What color is my 911?
 

What is the name of the original color of my 1973 911 T? The color code on the plaque on the left door hinge is 936-9-3. The original color was indeed silver, but I would like to know the full name of the color. Thanks.

Bill, according to my 911 Red Book (Patrick Paternie), your coulour was part of the "special order" options and has the illustrious and highly descriptive nomenclature of....wait for it.....SILVER METALIC.
