PPI at San Jose, CA.......

Anyone interested in inspecting and test drive this car for me? The car is a '84 911 Carrera located in San Jose, CA. I also need to find a shop to do the PPI. Lastly, a reliable transport company is also needed to deliver the car to Philadelphia. Any advise, suggestion, or recommendation is highly appreciated. Please send PM and will discuss the details. Thanks.

Tony

Please take a look........

I'm still looking for a Pelicanite from the San Jose area that could test drive and look at the car. The PPI will be done a local shop of my choice but would like to hear from a third party how the car looks, particularly interested in the paint, interior, and other sign of rust. Maybe this is not a good time because of the X'mas season but would really appreciate a volunteer. Thanks.

Tony your adding another one?

Guys I can tell you that Boyt911SC is a great guy and would certainly return the favor at the drop of a hat for anyone on this bbs.

Good luck tony. I used an auto shipper to get a car out to California. I'll look for the receipt and get you the name if I find it.

Tony, you're adding another one?
And a modern non-CIS Carrera? What's up with that?

+1 on Tony being a helpful steward to other residents of the Porsche realm.

Tony,
if no one with more experience will step up, I'd be happy to look at the car for you. Please keep in mind that I am not an expert nor am I in the car business. If interested, you can pm me with a # and you can let know what exactly you want me to look at in detail.
Peter

Depending on my schedule, I can take a look as well. Be warned that I'm a novice at best when it comes to P-cars.

Maybe we can have a amateur "gander at a car" gathering?

another vote for bob @ RMG, just make sure you keep you hands in your pockets. he does not care for customers that wave their arms around to make a point..... i can look at it this weekend if you care to contact me.

lastly dont ask him about flying in restricted air space.....

Demoise trucking is great. Contact Bill Demoise (he runs the front office and his brother drives their custom rig. Bill can be reached at info@demoise.com. They brought my 84 from Virginia to the bay area a year or so ago and make weekly trips back and forth from the east coast to the west. The entire payload when he arrived was porsches. Best of luck with the 84. If I were further south I'd be happy to look, alas....

It is amazing how the Pelican community comes out and offer their unselfish assistance to fellow 911 enthusiast. Once I finalized an arrangement with owner, I'll contact one of you guys to test drive the car. A PPI will be done by a local shop. So I just need to know the paint condition, interior, over-all impression ,and others. Will let the shop do the mechanical evaluation.

Wish everyone in advance a happy season's greeting!!!!Merry X'mas and a Happy New Year!!!!!

For the shipping, I used InterCity for shipping a car from Florida to California. Thats all they do is haul nice cars. They are a very profession company.
