If you mean are there early ( say...3.2 / 3.0 / 2.7 ) cars out there with a 964 front "cap"....there are number of threads on this.

By "smile"...most people take this to be the black trim that sits on top of the front bumper on 3.2 cars...964's don't have this...

Wil - OK maybe I meant welting - there is a "something" between the bumper and hood fender on the 964 - looks like a reduced version of the 911.

Not talking about the caps...

3 year bump...has anyone put the 964 smile on a stock 3.2 bumper (not a ruf or iroc ). Mine is ratty and I was thinking of seeing if the more svelte 964 welt would work.

Sorry, but it won't fully cover the gap betw the hood & the bumper.
The Ruf cars have a deeper bumper that come closer to the hood.

I have the complete body kit. I' planning to remove and trade it for the original one.

Maybe this coming spring ( 2009 ). The bumpers - side skirts and the wheels.

Is the lineup of the mounting holes the same on 3.2 vs 964?
....tucking the bumpers a bit with the newer smile +/- the bellows replacement covers that may or may not come from TRE sounds like a decent look, protection and compromise to changing to a full 964, ruf, etc bumper kit.
