Someone is getting back at Victory for being screwed!

Interesting add on eBay outlining the crap they pull over at victory.

That's a bummer.

He's dreaming if he thinks he's going to get anywhere near $42.5K for a 97 993, too.

I agree on your comments about his price. My guess is he’s just been creative in his warning to others. I suspect he’s in line to get one of those phony "Cease and Desist" letters Robert Neal sends out.

But he got a wheel alignment for $40.00 so it seems like his numbers are all over the place

why was every paint issue taken care of separately by different bodyshops?

The paint and body work was pretty limited for an 11 year old car with 54k miles...........

Is that the factory steering wheel? I could do without that.

This guy looks like a fool to me. Sounds like victory sold him what they said theyd sell him. Rough idle could have occured days after he bought it.. its USED.

Curious, is there any proof that victory sucks? I was just thinking the other day that I would LOVE to do what they do.. in looking at some early cars they seem to do very good worth WITHOUT being stupid and spending a fortune.. example: recovering using vinyl rather than factory vinyl... The only thing I dont like about their early cars is they seem to NEVER show the rust areas... which really bothers me.

That (his ebay ad) is funny. Much of the stuff he listed seems pretty cosmetic though ... maybe $2K worth was inappropriate. Of course, for the prices they charge, one ought to get a pristine car ...

Mine was listed the same from VMC.

Funny to see the windscreen replacement. Mine was $800 ... I could barely see through the pristine glass when it arrived.

I didnt see the word pristine in his quotes of victory's auction but I saw him use the word.

That $55 K&N air filter definitely adds to the car's level of pristineness.

I think the guy misunderstood victory and thought he was back in time and buying it new from the dealer. Many things don't add up on this deal, like why someone would dump all this money into a car to make it "pristine" to his disciminating taste and then sell it on Ebay.

The only thing I've seen come out of my neighbor Victory that is "pristine" is the V's they vacuum in the carpeting...THAT they do "pristine". I question anything else.

If I were going to buy a car for $40,000, from someone 2,000 miles away, and I were looking for a 100/100 car, I would spend $300 on a plane ticket to go look at it.

The car is 11 years old. It's a USED CAR. The dealer is trying to SELL that car, and represent it as best they can, without breaking the law. I mean, doesn't EVERY American who's EVER bought a car know that?

And, seriously. "Um . . . . yes, Mr. McDougal, I just needed to disclose to you that there's some used motor-oil buildup on the right rear caliper, and the bright red color of the caliper has kind of faded to a sort of 'ruby-red' color. And, in the interest of full disclosure, we need you to know that the OEM motor oil has been removed from the car."

I agree that this guy’s case is not particularly egregious but we all know the dozens of other shady business practices that VMC pulls. This is one guys take on getting back at them
