Memphis Crew! Broken Glass and Strippers....

So.....

Last night I'm going out with one of my girls... Jamie.... she's an exotic dancer at "The Pony" here in Memphis. Her boss closed both his clubs yesterday for the annual private XXXmas party...right? Free drinks, free food, plus Jamie is supposed to hook me up with her girl Jen. Should be a great night right? So we roll up to the club no problem. Go in have 2 drinks... I am SOBER.... Go back to my 911 to put her purse and jacket in my car. BAM my shoulder hits my rear view mirror. I catch mirror...no problem I'll glue it back. Yeah, glue it back to the EIGHT inch crack in my windshield... Well... needless to say I get wasted... I do have a good time but ....I hardly say to 2 words to Jen...come home and get online to ask you guys.....

Best place in memphis for a windshield?
Does Pat Williams do them?
Do the glass people use new windshield seals, or do I need to order 1?

Thanks,

Shelby

If you were planning on indulging in free drinks and "getting wasted" at a strip club, you should've known not to be driving anyway. You telling me you're going to leave the 911 outside a strip club, take a taxi home, and not worry about finding it vandalized the next morning? Your telling me you were going to let someone else drive it? Yeah right no one will believe that. Be happy that "getting wasted" and breaking your mirror and windshield is all you suffered.

Pretty asinine and unhelpful post. I don't think most of us come here to be preached at. There's a religion and politics forum now if you are disposed to that sort of thing.

Yes and your reply really helped fix the mirror.

Nice pic of your cracked windshield.

Now how about a shot of Jamie and Jen in naughty Santa Helpers outfits. Oh, with your 911 in the background (for required Porsche content). ;>)

Wow, Shelby! When you wrote this, did you think you were going to get a lesson on morality and what to do with your evenings? Some people never miss an opportunity to preach...

Check your insurance first, because many policies have glassbreak coverage and they'll send someone to your home or office to fix it for free. If not, I've always had good luck with Safelite. They treat me fairly, their pricing seems competitive, and unlike some other franchises, their installations seem to be very well done. The windshield on the SC doesn't have an integrated antennae, does it?

it does sound a little preachy, but im just concerned about his safety. for those of you who dont know, there are a couple of murders every nite in memphis, usually at strip clubs. we are usually #1 or 2 in murders per capita per year, and usually always voted to most dangerous city in the usa. i work in every part of this city, and its a zoo here, like wild animals roaming the streets with nowhere to go and nothing to do.

Shelby, to get to the root of this windshield problem I agree that we are going to need to see some pics of Jamie and Jen.

I, for one, have never been to a strip bar and never had an alcoholic beverage so I can't comment on the morality issue.

You might want to search "964 windshield seal", it may be an upgrade you're interested in since you're getting a new windshield anyway.

I nominate this thread the worst thread for this year.

Instead of pictures of strippers at a strip bar, we get a picture of a crack windshield.

Not the type of crack I had in mind.

You heard the man .. where are the pictures ? Don't tell us you were too drunk and forgot to take the photos... ? If so I think public humiliation (your doin a pretty good job of that already) then a life time ban from the site is in order along with an edict that you must sell your Porsche immediatley .

Are we missing a "Designated driver" here?

Is this a drunk-driving confession?

Wow.... didn't think I'd get a morality lesson here... Sorry Don I didn't feel my post was obscene, however my title was warning enough that some may not like what I had to say.

I haven't been to a single strip club since I got back from Iraq in June. BTW I'm going back in March... So I feel I can cut loose if I need to. Dangerously yes I do live dangerously. Memphis is more dangerous than Iraq. Anyways on the murder/ gunfire issue I have that covered, and covered legally.

Yes I got drunk, threw up a bunch in the bathroom and left when I was OK to do so. More on the back story...I slipped security some cash to watch my 911 extra... the guard stood in front of it all night....The private party was not at the Pony it was downtown. Jamie and I are platonic friends of 8 years. And to be honest I had no intentions of pursuing anything with her coworkers.

The entire point was the bad stuff happened not because of what you would guess, but because of my clumsiness.

I'm not filing on insurance. I only do claims if I have to.

Anyone else have any Memphis glass experiences?

Oh yea Photos:

Me and James:

Halloween.. Sarah Palin/Tina Fey, Sister Amanda, Flight Attendent Jamie, And A Fedex Pilot before take off...LOL
