oem 964 rockers on a 77 911?

I recently bought a 77 911 (unfinished project) with OEM 964 body parts. I'm looking for a template to drill holes to mount the OEM 964 rockers. Has anyone done this, any suggestions?

a wrecking yard or body shop would be a good place. there's more to it than drilling a hole. the holes are recessed also. they have to be the exact size as original or the pins won't hold in the red plastic socket. you need SC flares and the area where the rocker meets wheel well needs trimming. so you're kind of committed once you start. you could figure it out by measuring the distance between door sill and the top of the rocker on a C2 and add the distance between top of rocker and the pins.

It has already been butchered and has the correct quarters with the mounting holes for the small section of the rocker. I was not aware that the holes are recessed, am I better off buying some aftermarket fiberglass rockers. I'm trying to get all the parts mounted and removed for paint. I'll try the wrecking yard first. Do you know how deep the holes are recessed?

don't know the depth offhand. deep enough for the square plastic base for the pin to clear. some folks cut a slot below the hole and tap it in. on the rear sections, the square recesses are harder to make, so a larger, square hole with a cupped washer inside the fender is easiest. the aftermarket ones are kind of crap.

The rear section already has the square recess but I don't think the quarters were installed properly, that area appears to be a little deeper than the door and rocker on both sides, I was thinking the OEM brackets might help a little though.
