Youngest Porsche owners here?

I feel like I may be a little of a young'n here. I'm 28, single, no house, no girlfriend... so I figured, I might as well get an old Porsche that I've fantasized about having. I got one, and she's going to be a lot of work, but it will be a labor of love. Without all of the other 'life' distractions, I should be able to accomplish much.

So who else is a young classic Porsche owner?

I guess we're the 'next generation' of enthusiasts. I, for one, think we're in good company!

One of my best friends, Byron Lindeman in Springfield Missouri, probably qualifies as the youngest Porsche owner I am aware of. Way back in the late '60's he purchased a Porsche 356 at the advanced age of 15 or 16.

There may be younger owners but doubt that here are younger owners who purchased their own car with their own money. If I ever win the lotto will buy him a new one...

I'm 15 right now (16 in June). I am the only one in my family that is interested in cars. I've only had the 911 for 9 months and it is still a thrill to drive! According to my father and brother in law (who is 33) I am a mature and safe driver. This is mainly because I worked a lot on the car and it has gained my respect .

Purchased my 912 when I was 24. I was single with no house. Now 29, still got the 912, moving into my first house next week, but alas, still no girl friend! I'm sure any girl would be jealous by the amount of money, time and affection spend on the car.

Im 20, and a 911 owner. I cant tell you how many times I get the "your such a spoiled brat" comment from mustang owners. They dont realise that I pay for it all myself, do all the work on it myself and oh yeah, btw, it costs less that your stupid solid rear axle.

got my 914 when i was 19. best $800 i ever spent!

only lasted about a year before the rust on the frame really took over.

When I was 34, I decided that i wanted another one, so went on the hunt for a 914, on the way i happened upon the 911... sure, it was about 7000 more than i was planning on spending, but the checkbook was out before i could stop myself

I think the younger of us guys, especially those younger than 21, earn a bit of respect, and have a bit of an inherent maturity. It takes something special to take an old car and give it the love and work it takes to make 'em run and look great. Most younger guys that get handed a shiny new car in their teens don't know what that is like, and they don't respect what they have.

I was a good driver when I was a teenager. To this day, I've only been in one wreck, in which I was rearended when I was at a stop. No tickets since I was probably 20. Probably could have gotten myself a Porsche a few years ago, if I had done a few things differently. But I have me one now, and I'm going to give her the time, work and love to make her a great car.

I know I'm in good company, especially here!

Props to you "Really" young guys, it really does take a caring hand to have and maintain a Porsche.

I got my first Porsche at 22, it was a Pearl White 1967 912, I loved it and so did everyone that saw it. Unfortunetly it was my second car, as in car #2 in the driveway. Car #1 I was still making payments on, then in the span of 4 days both cars had major engine trouble, guess which one I sold to repiar the other with the cash?

Yes, big dumb mistake!

I swore to my self I would buy another Porsche and would never make the mistake again.

At age 30 I purchased my Jewel, a 1985 Carrera Super Sport, black / Tan and with every comfort option available.

What was the question again?
