Early 911 title search - Euro

My 71 911 t was imported from Italy. A navy man bought it and brought it over and I bought it from him. I would like to trace the ownership of it. I tried online and I get a simple "cant find information" when I try. Any suggestions?

In my experience the records on car ownership are not easily found. The State's usually keep them confidential. You CAN get some build information from Porsche by going to www.pca.org and getting a Certificate of Authenticity aka COA.

You can try searching out the prior owner(s) if you have any paperwork, but the DMV usually is no help.
