Reference: 1970 wiring harness weight

For future reference. Just pulled out the original 1970 wiring harness from the racecar in anticipation of a more efficient setup that isn't 40 years old...

Total weight including the fuse panel and battery wiring? Right around 15 lbs.

That is all.

your information has been assimilated

PS - wiring on a 928 weighs about 35 lbs. That was in an article in Excellence -- the same issue that had the article on Jim Calzia's lightwt. 911.

I wish I had weighed all that stuff I pulled out too for reference. I just thought the harness was pretty uncommon and worth weighing. This should put my weight right around 2050# with the 3.0L and 915. I think the G50 update will probably add 40-50#.

I really wish there was a less expensive way than moving the oil-tank to shift some weight forward.

Thanks, but I'm so far beyond and reasonable calculation, right now the car is a shell with suspension.
