anyone have a pic of Rod Stewarts early Martini Turbo Carrera?

Looking for a pic Remember seeing it in an old Porsche book, it was a first series Turbo Carrera silver with Martini edition stripes and had 11" rear Fuchs, not his biggest fan but like his taste in cars and women though

No it wasn't a slope, looked like a 930 was silver and had the mutli color Martini stripes on it with 9 and 11" RSR type Fuchs

Rod did own the dp 935 shown above. Jim Torres bought it from Rod and resold it. He may have owned a martini striped car, but the grey car above was one of his as well

It is reported that this Pcar belonged to Rod?

Although he is known for his Fcar passion:

and of course he is known as a ladies man; his wife:

Although a great entertainer by any account, some of his unpopularity came from images such as:

I am sure he doesn't own the Turbo Carrera anymore, he seems to trade both his cars and women in for newer models often

My bad...it was a Viper:

The Thief of Rod Stewart's Car Gets 11 Years In Prison - The man who stole Rod Stewart's sport car pleaded guilty yesterday and the judge sentenced him to 11 years in prison.

Donald Michael Smith also pleaded guilty to burglary and attempted burglary for a separate incident in which he choked his neighbor and held her at gunpoint.

"I don't think any prison sentence less than 11 years would be appropriate," Cook said. "Your being on drugs is no excuse to impose that type of terror on [your neighbor] and her child."

Donald Smith stole Stewart's yellow Dodge Viper last year after getting fired from his landscaping job at the singer's Palm Beach home, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported, citing a police report. The car was found later near a canal with $15 000 worth of damage.

The judge also ordered Smith to follow a drug treatment program after his release.

Whoever coined the phrase "Money can't buy happiness" didn't know where/how to spend it.

Well...now we know why he doesn't have it any longer (remember when $50k was a lot for a car?):

Rod Stewart, Citing Violence, to Return to Britain
By ALBIN KREBS AND ROBERT MCG. THOMAS JR.
Published: May 26, 1982
Several years after he moved from Britain to California to avoid high British taxes, the rock singer Rod Stewart says he is moving back to his native land to get away from violence in the United States.

Mr. Stewart, whose $50,000 Porsche was stolen by a gunman on a Los Angeles street last month, described violence in the United States as ''a bad scene and getting worse.''

He said in London that he had made the decision to return with his family after a neighbor, Maggie Abbott, a movie agent, was robbed at gunpoint outside her home in Los Angeles.

''It was a terrible experience for her,'' he said, ''and after being robbed myself not long ago, I have the feeling that violence in America is getting worse.''

''It will be a lot worse this summer,'' said Mr. Stewart, who attributed the situation to high unemployment. Mr. Stewart, who was in London for a vacation, said he would move back to Britain with his family after finishing a new record album and a concert tour of the United States.

Anyone know who currently owns this DP? I've seen pics of it all over the internet just recently, it seems to have been in hiding all these years.

I believe Rod Stewart owned 2 black DP935's. I know at least one was a 1977 but not sure about the other. Back around 1999 Sam Cab. in Long Beach had a 1977 DP935 that Rod S. owned and let me take some pictures of it. While I was there Sam showed me a article in a German magazine about the first DP935's being built in 1979. I was researching information on my 1979 DP935.
