Question First minor break / Remote Door Poppers

First minor issue with my car. Went to open the door when I got to my insurance company, and the interior door handle broke on me. The down side to this is I need to roll down my window and open my door with the outside handle when I ge to my destination. The up side, I can now lock my drivers door with the door open.

I was curious what everyone here is using as a replacement. I see PP has the origional plastic interior handle, and they also have the Aluminum door handles.

Also, I was thinking about installing Remote Door Poppers as well. I do not plan to shave the outside handles, but disable them from use outside the car. I only found 1 post on this in a search, and was wondering if anyone had this setup.

Thanks!

Did the handle break or did it just come off of the "L" shaped linkage that actuates the door latch? They have a plastic bushing that degrades over time allowing it to be loose and then pop off.

Mine broke. I replaced them with black aluminum ones. They look great and will last longer than the plastic.

It definatly broke, unfortunatly. Think I'll do the same as Scott & change them out for the aluminum handles. Felt a bit weak from the get go, so wan't a hugh surprise. It would be nice if I could use whats left of the handle to open it from the inside though...

Yeah, buy the aluminum ones, You won't regret it.

You could always hook a piece of heavy cloth to the linkage ala the RS door panels. It'll work unitl you get the new pieces.

May have to give it a try. Not a big fan of rolling down the window to open her up with the outside latch...

Not sure if you knew what an RS door panel looked like
Who makes the best RS door panels?
