Proper care of the targa top
Is there a certain cleaning product that's most recommended for the targa top? Mine's starting to look like it hasn't been cleaned in a while, and I'd like to get it all nice and purty again. Also, are there any particular cleaning products I should avoid?
Oh, and on the subject of targa tops, it's been raining crazy heavy here the past few days, and as we all know, 911 targa tops tend to leak a bit. My interior is NOT happy with me at the moment. Ugh.

Avoid Armor All....Go with Vinylex.

Am I correct the earlier targas, pre SC and the vacume brake booster, could stow their tops without folding?
For the last 5 years I have used Mcguire's Gold Class leather cleaner and conditioner. Looks great and I've seen no cracking despite constant folding. That's not counting the recent stabing episode.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads14/targa+top+slashed1226710032.jpg Don

Don, That is a tremendous top. How fortunate that you have it, and so rare.
I wipe mine down after clarning with 3M Leather & Vinyl cleaner and restorer. Seems to work pretty good and much better than amor all. Karl 88 Targa |
