How to red tachmeter
(1) or (2) is correct?
Thanks http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1229370934.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1229370940.jpg |
2 is correct.

Paul,
Thanks for response. I also thought so, but I wonder why the first mark is bigger than other marks, below 1k. Should it be zero (0)? |
Yeah, it is kinda silly. I guess since the tach really isn't going to show engine speed under 600 RPM with anything even close to accuracy, they just sorta combined the "0" and "200" marks and called it a day.

Agree, but then when people said perfect idle at 880. Is it (1) or (2) below? Or anywhere between there is perfect? :)

Well, the width of the needle is probably covering 120 RPM, you know? If the needle is roughly halfway between the two marks, that's probably about as accurate as you're going to be able to hope for. The tach isn't accurate to within 25 RPM or anything like that, and even if it were, you're not going to see it.

ok ok :)

#2, Between 800 and 1000 is 900. So right below will be close to 880RPMs for you :D
