Painting Grill on Rear Lid

The grill on my rear lid is getting faded and I'm adding a new tail. Has anyone painted these? What brand (black of course) would you think is best for that material?

I used spray Krylon for plastic satin finish. It works fine.

I used Rustoleum on mine....satin black is a perfect match for factory finish...I used Semi Gloss black to match my wheels and trim I did on the rest of the car.

Yeah that's about right!! Just give it a thorough washing and be sure to hit all the angles of the grill.

I tried painting it with normal black engine spray-paint. (After preparing surface)
After 2 months of driving, 50% had come off.

I guess it could work better with another paint. But the main problem is heat and movement. (The grill is quite flexibel, and the paint I used was not)
I just got a new one.

Jeff, just painted mine in rustoleum, satin black, it came out great. The only thing with rustoleum is a long period of drying time. But well worth it!

I use Forever Black (on my 928 spoiler as well) and it works great. Here is the link:

If the car isn't black I'd like to see a picture of that!
