Console removal advice sought

Ok - it's my first real project - I want to replace the shifter bushings (Jwest courtesy Mr. Dempsey), but am having a little difficulty getting some slack in the console harness - enough to lift it past the stick.

As it happens, I have the driver floor board out for some repair (another smaller project), so I can see the wiring, but not well enough for me to see enough to pull thru the firewall.

I had searched previously, but never saw this coming. I am working to the 101 project book.

I do not want to yank on the cables until I hear from some of you experienced gents.
Should I remove the passenger side floor?
Disconnect more from the console?
Remove the E brake handle?

I want to do more during the winter, but am holding back until I complete one thing.

Thanks!

Never mind - question answered

Perseverance (ignorance) and time paid off - I answered my own question.
I recalled from a previous post from another Pelican that he removed the seat position lever.

So I wouldn't stress the console harness, I (duh!) moved the seat back all the way and removed the lever, and got dexterous with the console so it'd come off the shifter.

Apologies for the pic
