1975 CIS question

I've got the engine out of the car and thought it would be a good time to replace the original fuel lines and vacuum hoses. Can I just cut tho old ones out measure them and go to autozone for new ones and cut to length or do I need to special order? Will new fuel lines just slide onto the injectors and do I need any other parts for this project?

thanks,

Jason

Get METRIC sizes for fuel lines; vacuum lines don't matter nearly as much but you want to avoid leaks. If autozone has them, fine. Anything else (ie US sizes that are "close") will spring a leak after a year or so given the very high pressure under which CIS operates. If I hadn't been fooling with the motor when mine came loose it would very likely have burned to the ground.

Before you cut/destroy fuel lines to the injectors, check to be sure replacements are available! There have been a few posts here about the difficulty finding the plastic lines in the correct sizes (as mentioned above) and the correct material. Some have tried lines of different than OEM material and have had pulsing or surging problem in fuel delivery. Try a search as if my memory is correct, replacement lines are hard to find.
