Good for you.

I have no idea what his problem is. Pocketing a $900 claim for himself without giving me a dime to repair the seat is amazing to me. I really hate the claim policy with the shipping companies.

I could understand some joeschmo individual but someone with a business???

I plan to file with the BBB when I have time.

I noticed this guy on your post, bought a 930 turbo from paul at PAR about 4 years back, he sent me a title that was not signed off by the owner of said 930, when it all came down he had sold the guys car to me and not informed the guy his car was gone, so happens the guys sister in law was a lawyer oops!, we had to get the new rochelle police involved along with the FBI, not to mention a couple lawyers, finally recieved my title with the previous owners signature after he finally gave the guy his money but it took a while, I think the other guy pursued this further though, it may have had something to do with him going out of business I don't know, just FYI for anyone doing business with this turkey

I saw this problem long ago with shipping something you have already purchased and OWN , along with the fact you are also paying the shipping charges.

It might be a bit more of a hassle. But you , the owner of the property , must be noted as the shipper (as you actually are) . The person you've paid is only holding your property once you've paid (contract forfilled). You are not only the shipper because of ownership , but even more so in that you are paying the shipping charges.

If you are not noted/listed as 'shipper' . Then you cannot deal with the shipping company. If it is anything of substantial value to me , I make sure I am legally the 'shipper'. Unless so , in any loss (as the example above) you are not only dependant on someone else (whom you probably hardly know) having to go through motions for you. But even worse , any reimbursement goes to them......a stranger.

Don't you just hate it when you're trying to buy something and the seller won't respond to your communication? I had it happen with a set of speaker covers.

I have been trying for months to get a refund from this guy for a gearset he sent
me which was wrong. Bought it off him on eBay and the pictured gearset (a 4th gear)
was not what he sent (a 3rd gear). The ad stated 3rd but I trust the pictures more
than some stranger's description.

Anyway he claims he never received it back although I have tracking right through to his
post office where he maintains a private box so odds are it got there. Now he doesn't
even bother giving me the runaround, just does not reply to emails or answer the phone.

Multiple eBay accounts, all with some portion of negative feedback:

ebay: dieter66
ebay: rip9146
ebay: bigapple66
etsy: rip9146
ebay: sfr731
yahoo id: par901

That's pretty much all I could find for the moment.

A friend of mine had a 356 convertible in consignment there that I wanted to buy. However, both the car and PR had disappeared without my friend knowing and being able to contact the cr.. guy.
My friend had the insurance pay for his car, but I was not able to buy a car I would have loved...
This was in about 2008.

I bought a 944 from PAR about a decade ago. It was a hassle but I did get what I paid for. Most of the inventory was always significantly overpriced, even for the NYC area.

I was a bit surprised to see the shop had closed down, but after reading these stories I can understand why.
