Anyone know Paul Reznick at PAR Motorsports?

I bought a 956 manual form these guys on ebay .. what I got was a xerox copy complete with ghosts of the hole punches and dog ears ... the auction showed what were the photos of an original .... I also bought a 934 manual but never recieved it .. I went out of town and by the time I got back still no manuals....too late for PayPal or Ebay to do anything about it .. calls and emails go unanswered . Finally the 956 manual showed up as described above... still no 934 manual . Finally I get an email from Paul telling me to send the manual back and he will refund my monies.... I send it back in SEPTEMBER.. still no refund , still no replies ... Were only talking just around a 100 bucks but still .

I just sent him another email to day but don't expect much . I guess when I am in NY I will just have to go visit them .

Just wondering if anyone knows this guy or has had any experience with them

I bought a copy of the "Sport Purposes" informational supplement from him, but the Ebay ad clearly stated that what I was buying was a copy. I don't remember what I paid for it, but it wasn't much. He was slow to ship it.

I subsequently purchased a few hard parts from him (some transmission components and some Weber carb parts). Every time he's been kind of slow to ship, but I've always gotten what I paid for.

I also sold him a few gearsets and bearings through Ebay. Those also required a little nudging reminder to get payment sent.

He seems honest but slow to address the sorts of things that make or break an Ebay reputation. I know his shop has been there for a while, and he used to buy from us ocassionally when I was with Carquip. There, I don't recall any major issues ever coming up either.

Hey Van,
I've got a 956 manual and a bunch of 934 / 935 manuals. Let me know which 934 manual you are hunting for. You can have as many as the office machine can crank out. I'll even put a fresh ream of paper in .......................
I crossed paths with this guy years ago. REALLY slow to respond and DIDN'T do his side of the deal. I got tired of chasing him, bad news, I say.

Van I have known Paul and his former partner Rocky since the 80's, he has always been a straight shooter with me and if a car was not right he would steer me away or give a strong warning, so I am sure he will make things right, just give him a call.

I have called this guy and emailed him numerous times.... with no response. This deal was done in June... He just emailed me back now and said he refunded the 934 payment but never received the 956 copy back so never refunded those fees .. however I sent it in Sept . I did check PayPal and he did send it back though he didn't cover the fees .. only 2 bucks but come on.. he knows paypal charges for a transaction. It is just the principal....

After I received the manual I went back and looked at the auction to see if I missed that I was bidding on a copy. I did not say anywhere it was a copy and the photos he used for the auction were of an original . Anyway , looks like he is at least responding to me now . Times are tough ! I want my 58.95 cents back plus the fees

I am sure the guy is decent but if you sell stuff on ebay then make sure you do it right and repsond to those you sell to .

This guy is a total crook.

I bought a Recaro seat off him on ebay which arrived damaged. Went through the whole claim process and he was reimbursed in full...then refused to pay me back any money for repairs.

He is now on ebay as SFR Global Motorsports. ebay ID sfr731.

I am working with the credit card company at this point.

So that is him!!! Global. I sold him a complete owners manual, warranty card, and other US docs, that came original with a 68 Targa I had. He strung me out saying I sold non original items. I e mailed him several times explaining they were original, even a picture of the car they came from. It turned into the only E Bay dispute I have had since 1998. He then started bidding on all of the items I was running on E bay, just to mess with me. He is a really a petty, unprofessional scourge on the Porsche community. Actually other than Krieger, the only other bad guy I have ever be confronted with in 40 years of Porsche dealings.

Guy has no class and is a liar . I feel blessed he only got me for around 60 bucks. If I had not left the USA right at the time I bought the stuff I am sure PayPal would have taken care of this bum. The guy puts a real cheap price on his reputation

I bought a car from Paul a few years ago. No major issues. I drove by the shop last week and it was vacant. OOPS.

Now I am worried as I am waiting for a refund. Very poor communication, and poor ad description. I am within paypal time so I had better file a claim today

Strange. PAR is/was a major used-Porsche dealer in Westchester County, by no means a fly-by-night shop--big, well-known, successful operation, somewhat snooty in my experience, in fact. I guess they're a victim of the recession and Resnick is trying to make a few bucks here and there however he can.

PAR Porsche was/is/? a long time advertiser, seller of cars and parts in Hemmings. Many of his cars seemed to be overpriced and or questionable history.

By ripping people off?

I have pages of emails where he agreed to repay me when reimbursed. FedEx refunded him the full $900 insurance and then he decides that the estimate I provided is too high.

Now he refuses to communicate and would never answer calls. He was very friendly at first and easy to get ahold of.

Total jerk.

File with paypal NOW. I thought he was a genuine nice guy and trusted him and didn't file with Paypal.
