Production Completion Date Help

Is there a way to determine the exact MM/YY of a vehicle's Production Completion Date? I have the CoA but it says "Information Not Available" for that particular piece of data. I'm hoping to recreate the VIN Safety Sticker that was removed when the car was repainted so I want to be as accurate as possible when I punch the date on it.

Yes, given the VIN we can compare against other members cars to determine the month of production.

Not exactly sure what you mean by 'recreate' but there may be a bar code on them as well and that would be pretty hard to recreate, if not illegal. I recall a thread here that detailed a procedure/form to obtain to have the factory reissue an authentic decal.

Call PCNA Customer Care and ask them. They've got the information in their computer. I don't remember the 800 number, but you can probably find it in a Google search. I've received 2 CoA's for different cars and both didn't include the build date, but PCNA was able to bring it up in their computer for both cars.

Thanks all. I checked the 911E.org registry but the production dates are all over the map based on the last four digits sequentially so, unfortnately, that's no help.

DJ/P-Nut, let me give PCNA a call. If they can't find it in their system I'll repost to compare the number against others' VINs.

Tony, this is for the tamper-proof sticker on the driver's door jamb. I assume it's not illegal to recreate a sticker since the VIN matches in all the hardcoded places on the car: (a) stamped into the trunk plate next to the hood latch catch, (b) engraved into the chassis inside the trunk up by the top left of the tank and (c) engraved into the VIN plate affixed to the A-Pillar next to the windshield. Sorry to open a can of worms but...

...any lawyers on the board care to comment on this one?

Not a lawyer, but I can say that that is a bad assumption.
