Remove engine grill on 86 Carrera
I did a search and didn't find the details fo the actual removal. Do I need to remove / loosen the ac condensor or are the 4 small nuts for the grill alone? Are those 4 small nuts attached to a bolt built into the grill? I can't find the other side of them. I am trying to install a grill badge and do not want to use double stick tape.

That is your air conditioning condenser right? And yes you should lower it so you can easily attach your badge. From the pictures you want to remove all those fasteners. Lay a blanket on your engine to lay the condenser on.

Thanks yes, I have "oil cooler" on the brain over another issue. That's what I thought.

Team fee, when I installed my badges I took the rear deck off. Almost have to. You have to remove the light and disconnect the wires to it at the light. Then remove the condenser holder that you have pictured and then just remove the 4 bolts, 2 each side that hold the deck on. Those 3rd nuts you show don't need to be removed yet as I remember. Remove one on either side first and slowly remove the others at the same time so you don't bend anything. I put towels all over anything painted to protect it. Helps with 2 people but I have done it myself plenty. The consenser stays where it is, doesn't come off with the deck. Then you can access the nuts that hold the grill on.
