Seattle-Area Pelicans - Best tire changer in Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue area?
Getting RE-11s for my 7" / 9" Fuchs and want a very experienced wheel handler to swap out the tires. Will purchase from retailer if one of you can direct me to a guy who really knows how to baby these older Fuchs. Alternative of bringing to local, or purchasing through Cosco (if even possible) last on my list.
Blast me if you think I am being a panty waist sit down to pi$$ sissy.

Group 2 Motorsports in Ballard. They are also an installer for Tire Rack.
FWIW I've taken my Fuchs to Costco with no problems (I removed the wheels from the car, rather than having them try to put it on the lift)

If you're already in Redmond, you can go to Speedware.
I purchased my RE-11s from Costco since I had a big rebate and had them installed over there.

I am down toward Tacoma and got my Potenza's at Discount Tire with install. I had a very specific conversation with them about the fact I don't want an air ratchet anywhere near the car. They were totally fine with that and were happy to have me in the garage area while they were installing everything by hand. They have always done well in my book.
This said, I have heard very good things about TruLine.... not sure if it's in Bellevue, as I thought it was in Seattle... but definitely well regarded for alignments, and I presume tires. J

Tru-Line in Seattle. Great work.
Also, Discount in Northgate is a good back up. They are careful. Good luck, Mauricio |

truth be known the Lambo and Ferrari guys go to Bellevue Discount tire
still I prefer Truline because he is a local guy who owns his own shop and is making a living off it, not a large corporation - heck of a nice guy, trusting and I would hand him the keys to my car and never have a second thought about it I dont think i could hand the DT guys my keys and head to work - just would not feel right to me (not that they could not handle my $20k car, they do lots more expensive stuff....in fact that is what somewhat concerns me is they might not think of it as "worth" being careful for)

maybe that sounded wrong - I mean I know they would be careful because they are careful
I just like knowing the guy who does the work I guess....he's always the same guy

I would not recommend Trueline of Bellevue.
Discount Tire has mounted dozens of tires for me on at least 20 Fuchs, including the most difficult rim of all, real 7Rs. Never had a problem, great people to work with. Recommended.

Thanks to all - I will be removing the wheels and bringing them separate from the car - good time to access the brakes for a fresh bleeding and retorque of the axle bolts. I must say Costco seemed to be no help at all - do they really deal in this tire? Our 245 is not spec'd on their site.
Again, huge thanks!

Reviving only to add this cross-post that may be of some use to another Seattle-area Pcar owner.
This thread deals with weight location, but delves again into who should do the work: Balancing wheels without weights on "outer" rim of Fuch wheel..
