Power seat motor

I am installing a pair of 86 seats into my 83. The passenger one when in fine; now I am installing the drivers.

However, I needed to replace a switch (i.e. that controls the motor to raise and lower the front part of the seat). I just completed the switch replacement, but the seat not raise/lower.

When I hit the switch, the motor and flexible shafts are attempting to move but it is hitting some resistance.

Is there to give the lifter gear a nudge or something equivalent?
