79SC Plug color at 10K mi. Valve adjust interval
1979Sc:
Adjusting valves and checking plugs at 88K miles .... do these look too lean to you? Car runs perfect: ![]()

Just pulled out my No. 4 Bosch spark plug, just for kicks, and it looked exactly like your No. 4 and the rest of them. My original California 79 SC has only 50k miles, but I don't remember when the present spark plugs were installed. And, same as your car, the engine runs fine.

Many thanks for the data point check and confirmation,now onto the valves and dwell. I have to admit that the best part of the valve adjustment is when its done .Although I do plan on using the back door method via checking cam lobe clearance if I can find it. I
