What's with the visor holders?

I have gone through 3 sets of these suckers. They always rip out where they attach, leaving the screw up in the headliner.

So, on set 3, I found a small cylinder which fits the opening where the screw goes through the holder. I then used JB Weld to secure it to the holder. Using a longer screw, which mates to the top of the cylinder and threads into the receiver life makes it all secure. Now there is nothing to rip out. But to reduce the friction between the visor rod and the holder, I used a Dremel to reduce the thickness of the holder/retainer tabs which you pull the visor through.

Life is now good - or at least it doesn't suk as hard.
