Early 911 Door Pocket Brightwork ???

Has anyone forund a respectable replacement forr the aluminum trim on the door pockets of the '69-73 911's. I have been looking for a while now, and have forund no decent used pieces nor have I stumbled across any new replacement pieces. My pockets are in great shape, the trim is MIA on one side, the other has a couple of dings in it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Drew

Drew,
It depends if you need it to be exact or just look good. I found that door guard strips, available at pep boys etc. worked quite well. I had to make a few selected cuts on the inboard side to have it follow the angled bends. Sorry I don't have a picture as it is away for the winter. Paul.

Replacement trim can be sourced from einmalig.com. They had both repro and used originals. $50.00 each for used original $25.00 each new aftermarket.

Plenty of early 911 info on the Early 911S Registry site - not just for S's. http://www.early911sregistry.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12869&highlight=door+pocket

Also see the second page of the thread for a cheap but good looking alternative - Press on Door Edge for trucks by Elegant - available at cheapo auto parts stores.

Einmalig.....$190.00 for both sides rear pockets. Not bad if the stuff looks good.

I've seen alot of references to Einmalig but has anyone actually bought any repro pocket trim from them? Does it look exactly alike, or real close, or what?
I called them about a year ago & was quoted 50.00 each piece which comes to 300.00 for both rears. Wolf300tt-- Were you told 190.00? Did you buy any?
I'd imagine alot of people would be interested if they can refit both rears with exact replicas for 190.00.

Thanx, Steve
