HELP!! What is this split hose and how can I fix it??!!

It is Sunday night and I am installing my new decklid (removed aftermarket tail and replaced with factory decklid). I was in the process of tightening down the decklid on the right side hinge when I notice this. It is what looks to be about a 1.5 inch hose coming from teh right side fender, just behing the oil filler neck. What is this hose and any ideas how to fix it?

Looks like one of the oil breather hoses tho I can't tell which one. One goes to the top front of the engine and one goes to the front of the intake manifold. Probably have to pull the airbox and MAF to replace. They harden with age. I just replaced one of mine and probably should have done both with then engine out. Ken

Being that it is late Sunday and this is my daily driver, is there any real danger if I have to drive it for a couple of days until I can get over to the parts house?

If it is an oil breather hose, you are going too lose oil from there. You could put some duct tape on it to minimize the loss, and watch your oil level closely until you replace it. The good news is that it should not be under oil pressure, only vapors, so the loss should be fairly slow.

Thanks. Looks like a huge PITA to fix, but as long as it is not catastophic and I can patch it until the weekend comes around again, all is good. Thanks for the feedback.

it shouldn't be that hard to replace. They both run through the engine compartment. I replaced both of mine last winter. It wasn't that big of a deal.
