Removing under-dash AC console
Hi all;
Am in the process of removing the bits and pieces of the useless AC in my mid-year car. I have the under-dash style vents which are screwed in to the knee pads. The vent console has a wiring harness which seems to disappear in to the bottom of the car. I'd like to remove it intact in case someone wants the vent console; can anyone advise as to where the harness inserts? Should it simply "unplug", or will I have to chop it out? TIA! EDIT: They are the Behr thin vents... |
Hi Peter, i've recently done this on my mid year, you should be able to get the harness out in one piece, the harness should go back to a relay, mine was mounted near the fan motors, and the fuse box. make sure you disconnect the battery terminal before you start mucking around.
I think I've some pix at home if you want. cheers |
Okay, thanks Shane - pics would be great!
