Thanks

Wheel Enhancement and discount parts Porsche dealers- try Hennessy Porsche in GA. Good parts dept there.

I'm looking for factory 911 16x8's but they are priced so high used for nice ones a guy might be better off to buy new ones.

Thanks

You'de probably be better off finding brand new 16 x 9's instead. I have a pair brand new in boxes for $2,100.

jwab 01-15-2009 10:13 AM

I just saw some new 9's go on ebay for $1475 but passed cause I really just want 8's.

porschenut 01-15-2009 10:19 AM

I bought new 9's from Wheel Enhancement in 2004 for $1700. At that time, the 8's were only $100 cheaper.

Palum6o 01-15-2009 10:44 AM

jwab, there is a guy in my area selling a pair of 8's for $700.

gestalt1 01-15-2009 10:55 AM

does anyone know what sizes they still make? is it just the 16" sizes?

jwab 01-15-2009 11:16 AM

Palumbo, what kind of shape would they be in, I'm looking for near new condition.

GH85Carrera 01-15-2009 02:16 PM

At Porsche Parade in Charlotte NC this year Porsche AG had new Fuchs on display. They would not commit to a price. I suspect absurdly high. If they want 20 grand for a new Targa top the wheels may well be several grand each.

Try calling your local dealer (or other dealerships with good parts departments). You'll be surprised at what is sometimes in stock.

Wheels are very easy to re-finish call Jason Cullen [kidding] or Al Reed.

Palum6o 01-15-2009 05:02 PM

The seller sent pics of them and I determined that they would need a refinish. I was going to do it, but I already have two pairs. My wife would have a fit too...

I have a pair still in the box from Al Reed, anodized lips, black centers but I'm not motivated to sell them. I don't know though, they've been in the box for 2 years....

Palumbo, PM me with what it might take for you to part with them.

I would also give Stoddard Porsche a try. They have a large parts selection. If you don't see what you are looking for on the site give them a call.

Call Hennessy with the part number (9's are 911.362.119.00, 8's are 911.362.117.00) and see what price they shoot you. I'll bet the prices are not a whole lot more than what people sell used, 20 yr old Fuchs for.
