We need to know what year, model, Porsche you have. I don't recognise that part at all.

Gunter 01-17-2009 08:36 AM

What type/year Porsche?

Post a picture of the area where the battery is located.

Where did you buy it?

Any instructions from the supplier?

cdrik915 01-17-2009 08:44 AM

This part is available here , at Pelican , and my car is a 911 3.2 model 1986.

I precise i not purchase this part at this hour , i just ask where i must fix it if i decide to buy it.

Thanks.

I think something is getting lost in translation.

That is a battery cut-off switch mount, mostly used in racing cars but could be used on the street as an anti-theft device, I suppose. I don't think it would matter where it was mounted unless the sanctioning body has a specific rule.

It's not for mounting a battery into the car.

Is that what your intention was in wanting to buy the item?

Inside the trunk in front of the fuse panels 84-89's on the driver side fender to truck seam where the 5-6 bolts are. I hope that makes sense

You may need to do some drilling, make certain that you have weather sealed the other end to insure no moisture intrusion.

Best wishes,

Bon Jour, cdrik915

I hope all is well in southwest France today. We passed through Toulouse in May, but I failed to see a red 911 fly by on the A 62. May be next time.

On to your question, could the 911 Battery Hold Down Clamp 911-611-209-00-M100 be what you are looking for? Pelican lists them as Porsche Miscellaneous parts.

Oh......sorry .....it's about a swich-off mount i want to talk.......not a battery mount......

Sorry , sorry......

I've modified my initial post.

Thanks Draco , Oh ah ah , and Gunter , i appreciate your help and understanding......for my bad way of speaking.....

Thanks guys !!!

Some mount it more towards the cowl so that they may have a lanyard come out near the driver's wiper with a red tab and a shut off decal for the track. A shorter lanyard is better; it won't get hung up as easily.

It's even better if the driver can reach it after unbuckling.
