problem with hydraulic clutch on 930 with G50

I post this again as my first message doesn't have the correct title.

So I have a 930 from 1989 with a G50 gearbox and a hydraulic clutch.

I've just noticed that the clutch pedal of my 930 is much lower than the brake pedal and when I push on it, there is of course not much left (maybe 8 cm). I can change the gears but I really have to do it slowly as I suppose the clutch doesn't disengage completely.

I hadn't noticed this before but it is like this since I bought the car, it just didn't bother me but now I wonder if it's normal.
Shouldn't the brake and the clutch pedals be on the same level?

What is the reason for this? Is there some air in the hydraulic clutch? I don't think that the clutch itself is too used as there should be an automatic compensation.
Any suggestions?

you could bleed it and get a higher pedal, for a while. usually if it's gone down to the point where it's hard to shift, there's leakage in the system. slave, master or both. cheap enough to just replace them both and get it over with.
