Tweeter Install Question

I'm right in the middle of replacing my door panels. I'm installing component 6.5" and tweeter Focal speakers as a while I am in there thing.

On the back side of the door panel in the hard board there is a round cut out (about 3/4" - 1" diameter) below the window switches. This is pretty much the spot where it looks like the tweeter should be mounted.

Has anyone used this opening (maybe had to enlarge it slightly) for the tweeter? It is in the same location as the depresion in the sheet metal in the door itself. So it seems like it would be the optimal spot.

Thanks for any advice.

This is a bad photo so I went out and measured. My tweeter is about 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" to center, below my switches. If I remember correctly that is the spot I used.
Be careful where you mount your crossover. The power window arm will nail it, if it is not forward and/or low enough.

Yes. The depression in the door metal & the hardboard cutout make it easy. Use a Dremel to make the tweeter hole a teeny bit begger & the tweeter slides right in. Here is a Focal tweeter . . .
