Floor of my 69 911T
Folks-
in stripping the floor and rear seats of my car to remove rust and repaint I found these rounds of steel sealed in with dum dum. They are all pretty rusty. What are they for ? Should I MIG weld them up and call it a day ? What is the recommended long term approach ? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My understanding is those holes are used in the spot welding of the floor pans--an access port for the arm of the spot welder. Just clean up the rust, seal them in the way you feel most comfortable, and seriously rust-proof the area with good primer, paint, and undercoat.
