Left frt and bk parking lights don't stay on.
New to this forum. Looking for help on this problem. I have check out both left side front and back parking lamps bulbs, and they are good, also check all contacts on both housings on each units, both are clean. I keep blowing fuses within 1 to 2 seconds. I am not sure how to check out a short on this circuit without tearing up everything. Is there a quick way to check this out? My car is 1983 911sc. I needs some help! Thank you. JMAN

I had a similar problem recently. Couldn't understand why only the left side (front and rear) went out.
May or may not be the problem, but I found I had a short or bad housing for my engine compartment light. Try disconnecting the wires to it, and see if that fixes the problem. If so, you have a fast and easy fix. If not, you may have some time on your hands hunting the short in that area of the system. |

X2, I just had the exact same problem with dads 82. Engine compartment light was shorted out.
