Stone guard removal and reinstallation
Can anyone post the process, tips, tricks for removing and replacing stone guards on a turbo?

I used a heat gun to remove and was able to reinstall with no issues.
Take your time and remember to be careful with how close you get to the surface.

Ernie,
Did you wet the back of the new stone guards after peeling off the backing, prior to installation? I heard that makes them more managable (able to move/adjust) during installation process, but would think it might negatively affect how well they stuck to the surface. Anyone?

There are some threads on this. You will find them via a search.
The pros mix up a really weak soap/water solution which they spray on the surface, and sometimes on the piece too, which they then slide into place. Then, as the solution dries, they quickly smooth out any air bubbles and wrinkles w/ a squeegee or burnisher. Teh solution does not adversely affect the adhesive.
