Need Help to identify pressure plate, please
 

Tried to google the part numbers with no success. Porsche pressure plates but for what application???
Doing a price check on these before posting. What are they and what's a fair price in good condition?

First one is marked: Fichtel & Sachs AG, 3032 055 099, TYP MFZ 225

Second one is Aluminum and is marked: SACHS Made in Germany, 3032 125 199, TYP GMFZ 240

I think the first PP will fit a 72-86. Does a magnet stick to the first one? I compared your numbers to the old PP I have for my 84 and they were almost identical, but mine said TYP GMFZ 225 and only Sachs Made in Germany.

Yep, magnet sticks. It's not aluminum. But the second one is aluminum, or an alloy of some sort. Second one is slightly magnetic.

I'm guessing that the first is an earlier (than my 84) cast iron PP for a 72-86. I hope this sheds a little light...

I should add that the number 3032 055 099 was a match with mine.

Also, if memory serves, the 225 is for 225mm. With that, I guess that the second pic is a 240mm PP.

Going for that 15 year necro-bump. Anyone know what the GMFZ vs the MFZ difference is?

They are both “power” clutch 915 225 mm aluminum with steel diaphragm. I think the difference is the diaphragm on the GMFZ is more stiff.

It matters for those of us with pre 76 cars with no omega spring. Anecdotally, on my 75 came with the MFZ and I replaced the PP with the GMFZ and the clutch got extremely stiff. Clutch cable and pedal box are all new. Clutch disc in spec, new TO bearing.

Just looked at an RSR clutch I'm about to put in the racecar. Both the old and new ones have GMFZ. Also did a quick google search, and found what appear to be 911 aluminum 225 mm sport pressure plates, some with MFZ and others with GMFZ. To confuse things further, a source of factory racing parts posted some pics of factory RSR clutch, and that one has MFZ. Now I'm curious about the difference too!

I ended up putting in my original (1974 date stamped) MFZ pressure plate on my non omega spring 75 915 transaxle. Clutch works normal now and is much easier. I feel the GMFZ has a more stiff diaphragm than the GMZ on pressure plates with the same part number and the only difference being GMZ vs GMFZ. Both part #3032 015 399

I never saw anyone identify the second PP as a G50, which is what it is.
