Blower in front hood not working on 79 sc, ne ideas
I have a 1979 porsche 911 sc targa and the blower is not working, the one located in the front hood in the little compartment in front of the gas tank. I use the controls inside the car underneath the dash on the center console but it doesnt turn on. Only thing that works is the front window defroster blower (whic are operated by different controls), any ideas? fuses are okay...any relays involved anything I should check, thanks much

Had a similar problem with my 88 recently...try disconnecting, cleaning and reconnecting the main power supply plug that snaps into the motor shroud. If that doesn't do it, you'll have to break out the voltmeter and start testing the plug and wires to confirm you are getting power to the unit.

Front AC condensor blower
You also may consider inspecting the motor itself once you're certain the motor is getting the correct power. I took mine apart recently while doing battery maintenance and once I removed this wad of newspaper that had worked its way into the cage/fan, it worked fine again. No wonder the AC stopped working last fall - I guess I was lucky it hadn't burned the motor out by the time I found it.

I don't have a wiring diagram handy, but I think that fan is connected through the relay in the smugglers box.
