interesting eBay kit car 904

this would be a blast to drive.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330302934884&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:MOTORS:1123

i know purists can look down on kit cars, but the right type of kit car can be lots of fun.

Very, Very Nice $$$$$$$$$

Martin & Walker "Kits" are like 75,000 pounds without the drive train. They use factory body molds and factory plans for the frame, but built with stronger tubing. They are as close to a factory 904 as you can get. I wish I could afford a kit car like this.

IMO, this car is actually truer to the real 904 than the Beck Replica... so much so that, as the ad states, a Martin and Walker replica identical to this with a 2.0 liter Andail prepared motor was allowed to compete in the Carrera Panamericana due to it's faithful adherence to the original.

If the reserve is not to far north of the starting bid, this would be a GREAT buy.

That same car was in my "Bring A Trailer" email this morning.

Looks nice. Would be great to own and drive one.
